All Reference Miniatures Acquired

That's right, I have finally managed to find all the reference models for the project. The top two "adventurer" models were ones that I luckily already had, but the bottom three were not so i had to source them online. The Hearthguard was quite easy to find on Ebay and it arrived really quickly. The other two were not quite so easy to find. The only one that was showing up of the Squat Warrior (middle, bottom row) was the Chaos Dwarf variant at the time of looking. So, i took to a group that I'm a part of and pretty soon had an offer to trade from one of the newer members. This yielded 3 of the Warrior and the Biker, which was fantastic and the spare ones were added to my "to paint" pile.

All the reference models together.

On adding the spares to my painting box I noticed a familiar face looking up at me. One of my favourite models is the Squat Engineer model. Not a combatant, but a sculpt that i've had for years waiting for me to paint. I took him out of the pile and I have now decided that he belongs with the rest of the stunties for my Inquisitor band.

This guy was a lucky find in a job lot from Ebay many years ago.

Though i would love to just remake him straight away he is going to have to be added under the same conditions as the biker. If there's time for me to work on it after i've done the other models, and only then, I will make him for the retinue.

I think I was quite lucky to find models in such good condition for the project. I will start on reworking the Warrior sculpt I have done so far soon, now that I have the proper reference. It may be a few weeks before I have anything to show though so bear with me on this.

For now, here are some pics of the other reference models for the project.

Next on the sculpt list, the Squat Warrior.

The Hearthguard, second in line.

The body design of this Adventurer Squat will make up the 6th model to be made for the Retinue.

This adventurers head will be the second reference model for model number 6.

Optional model number 7, The Biker. I hope I get to make both this guy and the Engineer.

For now, that's all. I'm looking forward to getting stuck back into this personal project soon, and sharing it online. Catch you in the next update.
