What's happening in 2021

Belated happy new year to anyone reading this blog. Last year was a bit of an interesting time for us all that seems to still be perpetuating into this one for the time being, but that means more hobby time for us, right!?

Since my last post back in November 2020 I've not had much time to hobby, so the true scale marines have sat waiting for me to do more work on them. However, I have made some progress with the Dwarf Marines, albeit not much.

I have basically managed to get some squads finished and undercoated ready for painting. Things left to do on this lot!? I need to put the arms on the veteran squad (That's the Iron armour minis to the left of the picture), put arms on my monowheel bikers, finish off my commanders honour guard and put together a second veteran squad. The second razorback needs to be undercoated as does my Reiver Lieutenant. I am contemplating my heavy support options too, but I will look at that later. That being said I am contemplating a Storm Raven (which will be a scratch Ch build) and some land speeders (which I already know which vehicle I'll be using).

So the current army list of finished models ready for painting are:

• Commander
• Librarian
• Riever Lieutenant (after I've finished this post)
• lieutenant
• Tactical squad with missile launcher
• Tactical squad with Grav gun
• Infiltrator squad
• Scout squad
• Scout squad with sniper rifles
• Tartaros terminator squad
• Servitor squad
• Contemptor Dreadnought
• Dreadnought with standard loadout
• Dreadnought with plasma canon and missile launcher
• Razorback 1
• Razorback 2 (after I've finished this post)

This leaves:

• Biker squad
• Attack bike
• Honour guard
• Veteran squad 1
• Veteran squad 2
• Assault squad
• Impulsor
• Storm Raven
• A potential heavy support unit

To be completed before I tackle any more units for my force.

I haven't got much painting done yet and I'm going to start with the 500pt force like I had mentioned before, though I will also paint up one of the Razorback and Dreadnought models because... Well, I want to. I think that's fair.

The only other thing I'm working on hobby wise is finishing off this rag tag troop of art scale Saturnine terminator models I made years ago. 

Three of the Wolf Guard in Saturnine armour. I thought it fitted well with the Space Wolves vibe.

I needed to remake the mould as it wasn't a very good one. I have it all ready to pour the silicone so soon it'll be a full squad of 5. I also have a Njal Stormcaller inspired librarian model that I'm going to finish to go with these guys.

For now though, that's it. Here's to a recovering 2021 and lots of hobby goodness on the horizon for us all!
